Overview

This scheme was adapted from an earlier Planning approval to convert two cottages into one house and extend the house with some modern single storey side extensions incorporating the original outbuildings on these “Estate” cottages near Chipping Norton.

The contemporary style exterior with cedar boarding detailed carefully to produce a sharp clean surround and the open glazed corners with overhanging eaves helped produce a truly modern feel to the C19th cottages.

The new wings house on one side a large open plan Kitchen and Dining area and on the other a bedroom suite with other living accommodation and guest bedrooms in the old cottages between on 3 floors.

The property is heated with a combined heating system utilising ground source and the wood-burning stoves to heat a giant exchange tank.
