House Extension, Little Barrington, Burford

Overview

This Grade II listed house in the heart of the Cotswolds is a project for an investor developer which included alterations to the building including a rear extension, conversion and linking of the garage to the main building to provide an additional bedroom, re-arrangement of the internal layout to create a larger kitchen area and a full updating of the roof and wall insulation using historic retrofit systems to improve the thermal efficiency of the building while working closely with the local Conservation Officer to agree methods of improvement.

The whole building was re-pointed, doors and stonework repaired and replaced where necessary and internal structures repaired where cracks had appeared from long time movement.
